Summary of Job Duties:The Manager, Client Services is responsible for promoting and executing the delivery of business transformational services to clients of Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions (AMS), a national Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center and program of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. This specific position will report to the AMS Center Director. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

This position assesses AMS client organizations' overall Supply Chain operations domestically and internationally, including purchasing of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. Develops strategic plans and internal processes to improve productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency within the supply chain operations. Extension Professionals are responsible for initiating, conducting, reporting and follow-up of technical projects for the focused (but not exclusive) client customer base defined as the small to mid-size manufacturer (<500 employees). AMS Professionals are expected to manage projects independently and report measurable outcomes through internal metric reporting systems in Salesforce.

Key Business Processes:

*Assist in the development and execution of the AMS Business Plan
*Promote the brand identity of AMS with all partners and stakeholders
*Meet with C-Suite level client decision makers to troubleshoot and evaluate client business practices and identify assistance required.
*Prepare client proposals, oversee service delivery and capture impact for services provided.
*Continually improve existing service offerings and assist in the development of new service areas.

Responsibilities:

*Assesses manufacturer's supply chain performance and benchmark to identify its competitive position relative to peer firms using assessment tools.
*Identifies areas of concerns and potential improvements that will advance the firm's competitive position.
*Identifies and minimizes risk by predicting the demand for materials and priming the supply chain accordingly by considering current market fluctuations.
*Develops technical, management, or training projects in response to customer needs.
*Delivers technical assistance services to customers directly or manages the acquisition and deployment of other resources in response to the customer needs.
*Manages projects and completes project reporting according to established procedures and requirements.
*Leads, coaches, and mentors the client firm's development of a supply chain vision and strategy.
*Serve as the AMS Manufacturing Extension Partnership's expert on Supply Chain services.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field

  • At least eight years of experience in manufacturing management or related area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in Supply Chain Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge in Supply Chain Management

  • Ability to deliver general manufacturing consulting service as well other services as needed

Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.

Salary Information:

$99,000
