Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of iSeries architecture and programming concepts, with a focus on RPGLE development. This role will involve developing, maintaining, and enhancing iSeries applications to support our business operations.



Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and maintain iSeries RPGLE applications, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Analyze existing iSeries applications to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve iSeries application issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on the latest iSeries technologies and trends.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience developing iSeries RPGLE applications.
  • Experience with iSeries development tools and environments (e.g., WDSC, RDi).
  • Preferred: 10 or more years of experience as an RPG developer.
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare billing or pharmacy billing.
  • Preferred: Experience with iSeries modernization projects, such as migrating applications to cloud platforms or using modern development methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with iSeries performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of iSeries architecture, including hardware, operating systems, and databases.
  • Proficiency in RPGLE programming language, including CL programming and SQL.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
