Product Analyst & Data Engineer Summer Intern

Gain hands-on experience at the intersection of product analytics and data engineering. We are seeking an ambitious intern to join our team, blending product analyst and data engineer skills. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into effective designs, build automation tools, and contribute to next-generation analytics frameworks. This is a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and apply your analytical thinking in a supportive, innovative environment. This internship is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, have strong analytical skills, and are passionate about both product analysis and data engineering. Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist in translating functional and technical requirements into clear architectural and software design concepts

  • Support the design and development of software applications and automation tools

  • Help evaluate and select appropriate data solution software

  • Participate in building frameworks for Big Data analytics alongside core technology teams

  • Contribute to coding, testing, and documenting data systems for analytics projects

  • Help ensure automated processes maintain proper data flow and integration

  • Work closely with data architects, modelers, and IT team members to support project objectives

  • Assist in extracting useful features from datasets for use by Data Science teams

  • Help convert and adapt code from existing applications as needed

  • Support the creation and maintenance of processes for data transformation, structure, and workload management

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a 4-year degree in an IT or engineering related major such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Computer Systems or Cybersecurity.

  • Valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience

  • Currently enrolled in an IT or engineering related graduate degree program

  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.

  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server and Cassandra

  • Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities

  • Deeply curious, always looking to learn and improve with a bias towards action

  • Ability to research and gather data

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the duration of thesummer.

  • Office environment

  • Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations.

    • Candidates who are hired for a hybrid role and reside outside of 50 miles from their assigned work location may be eligible for a housing stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses and will be determined at time of offer.
