Summary:

The AVP, Research Operations supports the Chief Research Officer (CRO) in leading and advancing the pediatric research enterprise. This role manages research operations and infrastructure to ensure efficiency, quality, and alignment with system-wide priorities.

The AVP identifies and resolves operational bottlenecks, enhances research workflows, and advances enterprise-level initiatives that strengthen the organization's scientific and competitive position. Acting as a strategic partner, the AVP, Research Operations collaborates with research and clinical leaders to design operational growth plans, integrate financial and regulatory functions, and drive adoption of standardized research practices.

The role also provides clinical and scientific expertise to inform policy development, advocate for research priorities, and cultivate partnerships and resources that advance pediatric innovation.

MINIMALLY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 7 years progressive experience in clinical/translational research. Substantial experience in administration and operations.

Education

  • Medical or Osteopathic Doctor board-certified in a pediatric discipline

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

  • Medical or Osteopathic Doctor board-certified in a pediatric discipline in the state of Texas
