The Director of Pharmacy Operations & Accreditation is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic design, development, and operational execution of retail, specialty, and ambulatory pharmacy programs across health-system partner sites nationwide. This role oversees critical pillars of the business-pharmacy design/build and national accreditation-while serving as a trusted operational and strategic partner to both internal teams and external health-system executives.

The Director will lead complex pharmacy build initiatives from concept through operational readiness, ensure accreditation excellence across all programs, and navigate sophisticated client dynamics with diplomacy, technical expertise, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational rigor, and exceptional stakeholder management. The Director serves as a senior escalation point for complex, high-stakes client challenges, bringing advanced communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to de-escalate issues and align diverse stakeholders. This role proactively anticipates operational and client risks, addressing concerns early to protect partnerships and ensure successful outcomes.

Pharmacy Design & Construction

  • Provide executive-level, end-to-end oversight of the design, development, and build-out of retail, specialty, and ambulatory pharmacy programs at health-system partner sites.

  • Lead and manage the on-site pharmacy builds and launch teams who serve as the first operational presence within new health-system partnerships.

  • Cultivate strong, trusted relationships between on-site teams and health-system stakeholders, ensuring Clearway is positioned as a credible, collaborative, and value-driven partner from day one.

  • Ensure pharmacy designs and build strategies align with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, clinical workflows, and long-term operational sustainability.

  • Guide teams through go-live, early operations, and stabilization, ensuring a seamless transition from building phase to ongoing operational ownership.

  • Provide operational leadership during handoff phases, ensuring clarity of ownership, accountability, and performance expectations.

  • Support client-facing teams in managing ongoing relationships with health-system partners, reinforcing trust, credibility, and operational excellence.

  • Act as an executive presence with health-system leaders during critical transition, optimization, or remediation phases.

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Accreditation Leadership

  • Lead, oversee, and develop the accreditation team, creating strategic vision and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all pharmacy programs.

  • Own the enterprise-wide accreditation strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and evolving regulatory and quality standards.

  • Ensure that all pharmacies and programs are fully prepared for initial accreditation, re-accreditation, audits, and site visits (e.g., URAC, ACHC).

  • Embed accreditation requirements into pharmacy design, operational workflows, and quality management systems.

  • Drive accountability, readiness, and continuous improvement across the accreditation function.

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for retail, specialty, and ambulatory pharmacy operations, programs, and services.

  • Lead strategic planning efforts to evolve pharmacy services in alignment with health-system needs, patient outcomes, and Clearway's growth objectives.

  • Conduct on-site operational assessments to identify performance gaps, optimization opportunities, and improvement initiatives.

  • Partner cross-functionally to identify future expansion opportunities and develop site-specific operational strategies.

  • Partner closely with the Director of Client Analytics to define, develop, and operationalize reporting frameworks that demonstrate pharmacy performance, value creation, and financial impact.

  • Translate operational performance data into clear, actionable insights for internal leadership and external health-system stakeholders.
