Role Overview

Kodak is currently looking for an Analytical Chemistry Technician to join ourKodak Specialty Chemicals Inks & Dispersions team in Rochester, NY.

We are looking for an Analytical Chemistry Technician with application in laboratory analyticalinstrument operation, instrument repair and maintenance, calibration, method
development and data interpretation. Candidates must be willing to work arotating 12 hours, 24/7 shift schedule (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off). Shift allowance is
offered for rotating schedule. Ability to learn new technologies, apply statistical dataanalysis, support production material and data flow, data entry and verification.



Must be able to interact through a vertical organization mix of positions and skillsets including PhD Chemists, production chemists, operators, engineers andlab technicians within a self-managed work environment. This position will be a mix of routine sample analysis, data entry andmanagement, response to daily changes in priorities, new learnings on a broad setof analytical technical applications, and some method development and dataanalysis with production and development chemists. Knowledge of LeanManufacturing and GLP (good laboratory practices) quality systems is preferred.



Technologies include:
* Chromatography - LC, GC
* Wet Chemistry - Potentiometry, Gravimetry, Karl Fischer, Conductivity, Tubidimetry, pH
* UV/Vis Spectroscopy
* Rheology
* Thermal Analysis - DSC, TGA
* Structure Determination - NMR, FTIR, Mass Spectroscopy (GC & HPLC)



Desired skills and experience:
* A.S. or B.S. in Chemistry with 5-10 years of work experience
* Hands-on chemical lab experience
* Analytical chemistry experience
* Proficiency on analytical walk-up lab instrumentation
* Strong record keeping skills (hardcopy and electronic filing)
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-functional team
environment



Additional Desired Qualifications:
* Good communication skills, written and oral
* Proficient computer skills, database management and electronic notebook
