Position Overview:

The Governance Manager oversees and supports governance and administrative activities. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, corporate policy management, oversight of OCHIN's Board and Board committees, coordination of internal committees and member-facing workgroups, and application portfolio management. This position ensures policies, processes, and systems are in place to facilitate effective organization-wide governance.?

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate to support governance and administrative activities essential to the organization.
  • Oversee and lead a range of functions, which may include:
  • Corporate Policy: Administer corporate policies, ensuring organization-wide access to clear and documented standards that support OCHIN's mission, operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Board Governance: Manage the administrative activities of the Board of Directors and its committees, ensuring efficient operations and provide the necessary support to enable the Board to effectively oversee and guide the organization.
  • Internal and Member-Facing Governance: Develop and maintain a highly effective framework and processes to ensure the governance model is efficient and aligned with organizational priorities and ensure steering committees and workgroups drive impact and are valuable to their members.
  • Application Portfolio Management: Administer specific internal applications and oversee OCHIN's portfolio of internal software applications and tools, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals and operational needs.
  • Strive for continuous improvement by regularly evaluating opportunities, conducting research,
  • performing analyses, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance governance functions.
  • Lead projects and departmental initiatives to establish and achieve defined goals, driving alignment with organizational strategies and priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role or performing similar job functions is preferred.
  • Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and pivoting to address evolving needs preferred.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create clear, concise content to reach a variety of audiences, are highly preferred.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and leadership skills are preferred.
  • Experience working with executives and collaborating across teams preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs, Adobe, and Zoom preferred.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Some Travel is required

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. Pay information by position level is listed below. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Consistent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations, and teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for go-live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Work from home requirements are:

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment
  • High Speed Internet Service
  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
  • Travel required up to 20% nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements for OCHIN
  • (OR) Travel may be required nationally based on business requirements for OCHIN
