About the role: As a Program Manager, Controls and Special Topics you will support the Electrical & Control Integration group in the execution of the design of electrical and control systems including analysis, equipment selection, application of digital design processes, and integration of interdisciplinary design processes. This scope also includes the need to work with other departments on such special topics as design of specialized instrumentation, equipment qualification, and cybersecurity. You will report to the Director, Electrical Engineering and be located at Cranberry Township, PA facility. The position is hybrid; you will be on-site two days per week. Key Responsibilities: * Develop deployment strategies for distributed PLC-based controls using Rockwell and Siemens architecture * Deploy a database-based system for the configuration management of field-mounted instrumentation. * Support recruiting efforts for new talent including interns/co-ops and engineers. * Identify engineering priorities by assessing determining project goals, execution time, and implementation costs. * Ensure best practices, lessons learned, and improvement are achieved in project performance and margins * Help develop next generation of engineers to ensure future WEC bench strength. * Support development and mentoring of the team to aid in their technical development, project performance and work satisfaction. * Engage with external customers, partners and WEC senior management. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent with military and/or business experience. * Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required. * Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups. * Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions. * Excellent team building skills with the ability to engage with all partners. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Leadership qualities and abilities * Knowledge of human resource principles and practices * Knowledge of engineering principles and practices Beneficial: * Experience leading engineering teams We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
