$3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible, fully armed applicants!

As a Armed Security Officer - Foot Patrol (3k Bonus) in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government transportation location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, professional communication. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture, while delivering reliable, innovative service. This post requires an armed guard card or license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, transit-adjacent property, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services, and providing clear direction to occupants when needed.
  • Complete reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and visitor or vehicle access records, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
