POSITION SUMMARY

The Engineering Designer II-III is responsible for advanced design and technical documentation work supporting engineering projects. This role applies extensive knowledge of drafting standards, design principles, and industry practices to develop complex designs with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Develop detailed engineering designs, layouts, drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar platforms).
  • Create and revise complex 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and system layouts based on engineering requirements.
  • Interpret engineering calculations, technical specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate design documentation.
  • Perform design analysis and ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve design challenges.
  • Lead portions of projects, including coordinating design schedules and deliverables.
  • Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback into final deliverables.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
  • Review and check drawings produced by junior designers for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Engineering Designer I and II team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain document control and ensure accurate revision tracking.
  • Interface with vendors and external partners as needed for design clarification or technical support.
  • Assist Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Planning on mechanical issues. Interface with vendors regarding component selection and parts problems. (Essential)
  • Comply with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. (Essential)
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara safety policies. (Essential)
  • Perform other duties as assigned. (Non-Essential)

Education



  • Associates' or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting and Design, or equivalent experience.


Experience



  • Six (6) or more years of work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks solid modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently on complex assignments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong Customer Relations skills.


SKILLS & ABILITIES



  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and support product software (e.g,. maintenance program, pump monitoring)
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customers.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and Organizational skills.
