Job Description

The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking a Facility Coordinator to enhance the functionality of the facilities and grounds as required by a high-level Division I Athletics Department. Reporting to the Director of Facility Operations, this position will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality facility operations that support student-athlete success, coaching needs, competition standards, and external events while maintaining compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility Operations and Readiness (30%)

* Coordinate daily operational needs of assigned athletic facilities, including practices, competitions, and special events.
* Ensure facilities are properly prepared, opened, secured, and restored for athletic activities and events.
* Serve as on-site facility contact during events, addressing operational issues in real time.
* Monitor facility usage to ensure adherence to schedules and safety protocols.

2. Event Support Operations (20%)

* Support athletic events by coordinating facility setup, breakdown, and operational staffing needs.
* Assist with coordination of custodial services, security, parking, and equipment needs for competitions and special events.
* Collaborate with event management, marketing, ticketing, and external groups to ensure a positive event experience.

3. Scheduling and Coordination (20%)

* Assist with scheduling practices, competitions, camps, clinics, and external rentals in coordination with coaches, event management, and campus partners.
* Communicate facility schedules and changes to internal and external stakeholders.
* Support equitable and efficient use of facilities across multiple sports programs.

4. Maintenance and Safety Oversight (15%)

* Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and cleanliness needs.
* Submit and track work orders for repairs and preventative maintenance in collaboration with campus facilities and external vendors.
* Ensure facilities comply with safety regulations, risk management standards, and NCAA/conference requirements.
* Assist with emergency response coordination and incident reporting as needed.

5. Inventory, Equipment, and Budget Support (10%)

* Assist with tracking facility-related equipment, supplies, and inventory.
* Support budget monitoring for facility operations, maintenance, and minor capital projects.
* Obtain quotes and coordinate purchases related to facility needs as directed.

6. Other Duties (5%)

* Perform additional duties as assigned by Athletics administration.
* Ensure compliance with University, NCAA, and SEC rules, policies, and procedures.

Shift

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; nights and weekends as needed, by events.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.00-$24.00/ hour

Grade: GGS-007
