Aon is Looking for an Associate Broker - Casualty

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting the Practice. The position's preferred location is Chicago IL, New York NY or Boston MA/Providence RI. In the role of an Associate Broker, you will work with Senior Brokers, Account Executives, and Practice leadership.

This is a hybrid position and you will be required to be in the office 3 days a week.

What the day will look like

  • Support Senior Broker in the Broking process
  • Provide clients with first-level advice on general policy coverage, defining risk exposure and coverage availability
  • Review policy renewal and new business applications for completion and accuracy
  • Synthesize exposure information and prepare submission documents
  • Perform general client service including data analysis to assist clients with enrollment and coverage decisions
  • Assist with the management of client relationships to provide outstanding customer service
  • Perform benchmarking analysis of client coverage, rate, retention, and limits
  • Own the premium billing process for all assigned clients
  • Establish account-specific service plans and delivery approaches, which support coverage solutions and new business growth Draft quote comparisons and follow up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Input data into the appropriate brokerage systems
  • Work with Senior Brokers, Account Executives, and Practice leadership to promote Aon at Aon-sponsored events, industry events, and prospect meetings

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 2-4 years of insurance proven experience preferred; will consider college graduates with risk management degrees and work experience
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • A team player
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and other business software platforms

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must have or be able to acquire a Broker License in the state of residence

Youremployment is contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining all Property & Casualty licenses in the required states, as designated by Aon. You must successfully complete the required course work and pass the examinations within6 months of your start date. In addition, you will complete all required paperwork necessary in obtaining the licenses. Aon will be responsible for paying the costs associated with the coursework and examinations according to the Aon licensing policy. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the termination of your employment with the firm.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
