Material Runner - Contingent Upon Contract Award

Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Materials Runner to ensure efficient material flow across our operations, directly supporting uninterrupted production and mission-critical execution.

What You'll Do


  • Transport materials, components, and supplies between warehouse, production floor, and local vendors or PDW facilities using company vehicle.
  • Ensure materials are accurately picked, packaged, and delivered per routing instructions and production schedules.
  • Document material movements and confirm deliveries in ERP or tracking systems.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials from delivery vehicles or warehouse staging areas.
  • Follow all safety, cleanliness, and 5S protocols when staging, handling, and delivering materials.
  • Communicate clearly with Planning, Procurement, and Production staff to coordinate priority runs or resolve issues.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and support inventory control processes when on-site.


Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or production support.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record (company vehicle provided for deliveries).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move materials using carts or pallet jacks.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse, production, and driving environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on internal customer service.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity is required to operate carts, pallet jacks, and standard warehouse/production equipment. Must be physically capable of driving company vehicles safely, loading/unloading materials, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Work Environment

This position operates in a combination of warehouse, production floor, and driving environments. Work may involve exposure to forklifts, pallet jacks, loading docks, and variable weather conditions when transporting materials. Occasional travel between PDW facilities, vendor sites, and customer locations is required. This role may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. Standard work hours for this position are 7:00AM to 3:30PM, with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.

ITAR Requirement

In compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
