Nurse Practitioner | Wyandotte | Neurosurgery | Full Time | Days Location: Henry Ford Wyandotte Status: Full-Time 36hrs | Days Schedule: Preferred 5 days, 4 days of 8hrs and 1 day of 4hrs Setting: 50% Outpatient 50% Inpatient | 100% Adult Patients Call/Weekends: Yes, when supervising physician is out of the office Position Overview: Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurosurgery team. This role includes inpatient rounding for new consultants from the ER and admitted patients, post-operative care and progress assessments, and discharge management. The APP will perform procedures such as intrathecal pump management and refills, CSF and VP shunt management, as well as imaging and diagnostic test review and interpretation. Responsibilities also include independent outpatient clinic visits. Ideal candidates will have hospital and/or ICU experience, surgical experience, outpatient clinical experience, and prior neurosurgical experience, including familiarity with VP shunts. Credentials: Education & Training * Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) Licensure * Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required). Certification * NP: National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP) Required Certifications
