Working TitleAccounting Clerk (UNMTemps) Position Grade07 Position Summary The Cash Office Lead will be responsible for accounting functions related to the daily sales activity of the UNM Bookstore. Primary duties include reconciling and journaling all revenues from daily sales, and ensuring student charges, department charges, and credit card payments are properly processed to FSM and the Bursar's office, monthly general ledger reconciliations, and participation in annual physical inventory. The Cash Office Lead will ensure the cash vault is counted and reconciled each business day and will lead student employees in ensuring their work is complete and without error. Assists in other various clerical duties as needed. See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience/knowledge in/with: *Accounts Receivable experience including reconciliation, reporting, and collections.
