Overview

The Key Account Manager (KAM) - Southeast serves as a strategic commercial and clinical partner responsible for developing, expanding, and optimizing relationships with the organization's most important accounts. This role drives sustainable growth by integrating business strategy, clinical value development, and consultative partnership to improve patient outcomes and accelerate adoption of advanced hearing solutions.

Operating as both a business strategist and clinical development leader, the KAM partners with providers to advance practice performance, expand patient access to hearing care, and support adoption of innovative technologies. The position focuses on strengthening long-term partnerships, elevating clinical and operational excellence, and cultivating new high-value opportunities across the region.

Responsibilities

Strategic Account Development

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to protect, grow, and acquire high-value accounts within the region
  • Position the organization as a trusted, long-term strategic partner by delivering measurable clinical and business outcomes
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts aligned with partnership program objectives and regional growth strategy
  • Establish and maintain relationships with executive, operational, and clinical stakeholders within customer organizations

Clinical & Business Practice Development

  • Partner with providers to optimize clinical workflows, patient pathways, and practice performance
  • Support implementation of growth initiatives that improve both patient outcomes and business sustainability
  • Drive adoption and sustained utilization of Oticon solutions, including increased daily wear and patient engagement
  • Deliver data-driven, consultative insights leveraging analytics, benchmarking, and industry best practices

Partnership Program Leadership

  • Strengthen engagement with partnership program members through structured business reviews and collaborative development planning
  • Ensure alignment to partnership commitments, growth objectives, and performance expectations
  • Expand share of wallet through value-based collaboration and solution-focused engagement

New Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, develop, and convert new strategic opportunities within targeted accounts and priority markets
  • Maintain a strong regional opportunity pipeline and proactively manage account progression
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, clinical, and training teams to ensure successful onboarding and sustained account growth

Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Execute national and regional strategic initiatives within assigned geography
  • Maintain accurate and timely account documentation within Salesforce
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and reporting requirements
  • Complete ongoing professional development and certification programs
  • Travel up to 80% to support customer engagement and business development activities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 8 + years of experience in medical device sales, healthcare consulting, clinical development, or strategic account management
  • Experience in hearing healthcare or related clinical markets strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling, clinical adoption, or practice development environments
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate clinical value into measurable commercial outcomes
  • Working knowledge of hearing instrument technology and industry practices preferred
  • Experience fitting or supporting Oticon technology preferred

The base pay for this position is expected to be from $100,000 and $117,500 + commission; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
