The Senior Loan Analyst, Loan Accounting role is responsible for supporting complex Commercial and Syndicated loan structures by ensuring accurate loan accounting, system setup, and transaction processing throughout the loan lifecycle. This role partners closely with internal teams to validate loan documentation, maintain data integrity, resolve exceptions, support audits, and drive process improvements across Commercial and Syndicated lending operations.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced loan accounting functions for complex Commercial and Syndicated loan structures, including multi lender allocations, rate sets, participations, and collateral monitoring
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all Commercial and Syndicated loan transactions, including fundings, draws, paydowns, rate changes, fees, and amortization
  • Coordinate the end to end funding process for assigned deals, ensuring all conditions are met and disbursements are executed accurately and on schedule
  • Review credit agreements, amendments, and syndication documents to validate system setup, covenant requirements, rate mechanics, waterfall structures, and lender share allocations
  • Maintain data integrity within the loan system (LTV, risk codes, collateral types, credit line codes, lender percentages, global rate index setup, etc)
  • Conduct periodic system maintenance, including updates to syndicated rate indexes, margin grids, and coordination of global index changes
  • Identify discrepancies or exceptions in loan accounting activity and perform timely resolution, escalating risks when necessary
  • Prepare detailed reconciliations, reporting, and analytics related to Commercial and Syndicated loan portfolios for management review
  • Support audits and regulatory examinations by providing documentation, explanations, and transaction detail specific to Commercial and Syndicated lending
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls
  • Recommend and support process improvements to enhance accuracy, reduce risk, and increase efficiency within Commercial and Syndicated loan workflows
  • Participate in system enhancements by providing requirements, validating test results, and supporting system implementations that impact loan accounting
  • Support special projects related to complex Commercial or Syndicated transactions, portfolio changes, and operational improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial loan operations or loan accounting, with exposure to Syndicated and Participated loans
  • Experience in banking or financial services supporting Commercial credit
  • Solid knowledge of Commercial loan documentation, including credit agreements, amendments, and UCC filings
  • Solid understanding of loan accounting principles, system setup, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan servicing/accounting systems
  • Proven solid analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external lending partners
  • Demonstrated ability to support process improvements and adapt in a fast paced environment
  • Willing or ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Industry experience
  • Experience of Commercial & Consumer Loan Operations
  • Experience with SQL or Power BI
  • Knowledge of standard commercial loan and lease documentation requirements for various commercial loan types (Real Estate, SBA, and Asset Based loans)
  • Familiarity with Commercial & Consumer lending regulatory and compliance components
  • Knowledge of the necessary documentation and procedures to secure and perfect the bank's collateral

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
