The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Healthcare Product Strategy Consultant to join our team at Texas Oncology. Some travel may be necessary, up to 30%.

What does this position do? (including but not limited to):

The Product Strategy Consultant enables enterprise transformation by translating strategy, governance direction, and discovery insights into coordinated, executable portfolios of work across Texas Oncology. This role operates as a connective layer between discovery, governance, and delivery-ensuring high-priority initiatives are clearly framed, sequenced, and mobilized across internal teams and external partners. Rather than owning product strategy or individual solutions end-to-end, the role focuses on clarity, continuity, and execution readiness in a growing Transformation Office. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Support Texas Oncology's transformation roadmap by translating governance and discovery outputs into defined initiatives, dependencies, and sequencing.
  • Prepare decision-ready materials for governance and discovery forums, including market scans, landscape analyses, and opportunity briefs in partnership with IT.
  • Support recommendations on capabilities, solution approaches, and sequencing to support prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Coordinate with submitting physicians and other stakeholders to ensure DESC intake submissions are complete, well defined, and ready for governance evaluation.
  • Support Transformation Office portfolio-level roadmaps that reflect approved initiatives, sequencing, and dependencies.
  • Translate governance decisions into execution-ready plans in partnership with PMO, IT, Physician leadership, and Change teams.
  • Coordinate execution across internal teams and external consultants, ensuring scope clarity, progress tracking, and risk visibility for selected projects.
  • Ensure continuity of work, institutional memory, and transition of ownership as initiatives progress and external consultants transition off.
  • Act as a statewide connective layer for transformation initiatives, ensuring consistent coordination and alignment across regions and enterprise stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Healthcare
    Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Health Administration, MBA, or similar) is a plus.

Experience

  • 8-10 years in product management, strategy, or consulting; healthcare experience
  • Experinece supporting enterprise initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Strong executive communication and synthesis skills.
  • Demonstrated success influencing outcomes without formal authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a transformation or innovation office within a large health system, academic medical center, large private
    medical practice, or integrated network
  • Strong understanding of healthcare value levers, patient & physician experience drivers, and opportunities to advance care delivery leveraging emerging technology.
  • Experience owning multiple solutions/capability roadmaps that balance near-term improvements with long-term strategic bets.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (road mapping, outcomes/metrics, value realization) within complex healthcare or multi-site operations.
  • Exposure to stakeholder/customer feedback loops (physicians, operations leaders, front-line staff) to inform roadmap
    decisions and continuous improvement.

This position may require long periods of sitting and computer work. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in an office environment with frequent interaction internally with corporate and field staff, and externally with outside vendors. Work may require possible travel by air or automobile, up to 30%.
