Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Team in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a strong visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, support access control when needed, and deliver service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity. Armed guard card or license required.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of designated buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and local law enforcement when appropriate.
  • Support access control operations by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors according to posted rules and site instructions.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and equipment checks, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Have Security Experience - 1+ Years.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
