As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain a visible presence that helps support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to incidents, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting events, and/or notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, lobbies, stairwells, and/or exterior perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report hazards or concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor check-in requirements, directing foot traffic, and/or assisting with wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete routine security-related reports and logs, communicate relevant information during shift turnover, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts regarding daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
