Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and perimeter checks. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors while documenting observations and responding to concerns. This post requires an armed guard card/license, backed by our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and/or contractor access, and assisting with truck check-in and yard movement procedures as directed by site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, access control activity, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
