Security Officer - Armed Patrol Trooper

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Trooper in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed patrol post at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or credentials, observing for prohibited items, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
• Complete security-related reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and/or concerns to supervision in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
