Job Description




As a Security Officer - High-Rise Patrol in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and your team, and respond to concerns with a customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial chemical location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, processing areas, staging zones, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry logs, and directing personnel and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate key information to Allied Universal management and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
