As a Armed Security Officer - Driver Patrols in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an Armed Patrol Officer, supporting a professional, service-focused presence. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and calm decision-making. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, with opportunities to partner with onsite teams while living our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public authorities as needed.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders, including proper weapon handling, retention awareness, and documentation of all weapon-related activity.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and contractors using security-related screening procedures, verify credentials as required, and complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
