As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, document observations, and respond to calls for assistance. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and store associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, suspected shoplifting, and medical situations, and report findings to site leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Control access to employee-only and receiving areas by verifying identification, monitoring entrances and exits, and assisting with loss prevention practices consistent with post orders.
• Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrols, and daily activities, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
