Security Officer - Access Control Coordinator

As a Security Officer - Access Control Coordinator in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control, verify credentials and badges, and help guide visitors and employees with a customer service mindset. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or load documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; document irregular activity and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching internal notifications, coordinating with on-site teams, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including dock areas and parking lots, to help to deter unauthorized access and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience preferred.
• Customer Service Experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
