Job Title: Family Support Specialist
Location: Lawrenceburg, TN

Job Summary:

This role offers competitive hourly compensation starting at $17.00 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $18.77 per hour based on experience obtained after earning a bachelor's degree. In this role, you will provide in-home visitation services and family-centered support, helping families strengthen parenting skills, improve child development outcomes, and connect with essential community resources. You'll work closely with families over time, focusing on building trust, promoting healthy relationships, and supporting long-term success through individualized service planning. This role involves regular travel throughout Lawrence County-including Lawrenceburg, Ethridge, Iron City, Leoma, Loretto, and Summertown-and includes a mix of home visits, community-based work, and occasional participation in local events. The schedule is Monday through Friday with flexibility to meet the needs of families, and no on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Build strong, trusting relationships with families through consistent in-home visits and ongoing support
* Empower parents by teaching problem-solving, parenting, and life skills that promote healthy child development and family stability
* Deliver family-centered, strength-based interventions focused on enhancing parent-child relationships and overall wellbeing
* Conduct screenings and assessments (e.g., developmental, social-emotional, and family functioning tools) to identify needs and guide services
* Develop and implement individualized Family Service Plans, supporting families in achieving their goals
* Connect families to community resources, including healthcare, social services, and educational supports
* Provide case management services and maintain regular communication with families across home, community, and virtual settings
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including program data, reports, and required records
* Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and community events to support program outreach and engagement
* Travel regularly throughout the county to meet families where they are, ensuring accessible and consistent support

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field required
* Two (2) years of professional experience working with youth and families in child welfare, education, childcare, criminal justice, behavioral health, or a related field preferred
* Experience providing home-based or community-based services preferred
* Knowledge of infant and child development preferred

Additional Qualifications:
* Ability to establish trusting, supportive relationships with diverse families
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
* Cultural humility and respect for diverse family structures and parenting styles
* Willingness to engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional development
* Experience working with culturally diverse populations preferred
* Infant Mental Health Endorsement preferred
* Ability to travel regularly within the assigned service area and attend occasional community or weekend events as needed

Physical Requirements
* Sit for extended periods (approximately 80% of the time)
* Stand periodically throughout the workday (approximately 20% of the time)
* Perform occasional bending, kneeling, and squatting
* Drive frequently to conduct home visits and community-based services
* Lift and carry items occasionally as needed

Pay Range:

$15.75--$22.00
