The Department of History and the East Asian Studies Center in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, invite applications for a visiting assistant professor position in Fall 2026 to assist with undergraduate instruction on East Asia with ability to teach the region as well as Korean history. Background training in history at the doctoral level and Ph.D. in a relevant field is required at the time of appointment. The successful applicant will teach two courses.

The annual base salary for this position is $80,000. For one semester, the salary rate will be $40,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
