Schedule:

• Every Friday to cover Kennebunk and Scarborough locations
• Other days are flexible for coverage of busy clinic days in Scarborough location

HOURS: 8:00am - 4:00pm

This position will be 8 to 20 hours weekly, depending on practice needs and availability

Summary:

Under the direction of a Cardiologist, the Cardiac Sonographer IV role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
2. License/Certifications: Currently registered as a Cardiac Sonographer through the ARDMS or CCI required. Pediatric registration or Advanced Cardiac Sonography (ACS) registration preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Four years of ultrasound/sonography experience in a medical practice or hospital setting required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Cardiac Sonographer III role.
