A growing technology-driven manufacturing organization in Newington, New Hampshire is seeking a Process Engineer to support the development and improvement of production processes used in the manufacturing of precision optical sub-assemblies.

This direct hire opportunity is ideal for engineers who thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy driving manufacturing process improvement, production efficiency, and quality optimization. The role offers the chance to work closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams while contributing to high-precision manufacturing solutions.

Hours and Pay



  • Salary: Up to $90,000 annually, plus bonus potential
  • Position Type: Direct Hire
  • Location: Onsite in Newington, NH

Daily Responsibilities



  • Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing process procedures, work instructions, and technical specifications
  • Evaluate existing production processes and conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase quality, throughput, and operational efficiency
  • Lead process verification, validation, and capability studies for new and existing equipment
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, and Program Management to ensure production readiness
  • Monitor production quality data and drive improvements using structured methodologies such as DMAIC or 8D
  • Support engineering change requests and document control processes
  • Work closely with production personnel to implement processes and improve material flow on the manufacturing floor



Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering field
  • 3-5 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with document control systems, engineering change orders, and process validation
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in dynamic manufacturing environments



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform tasks in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Must pass a Fit for Duty physical exam and follow all workplace safety protocols
