Description and Requirements

Our AI Infrastructure & Cloud Services is growing its presence at our global HQ site in Morrisville, NC. We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer with experience handling global data center network design and operations. This position is hybrid at Morrisville, NC, Chicago, IL or San Jose CA, site 3 days per week.


Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver end-to-end data center network solutions for internal and external customers, including high-performance networks for AI and large-scale computing workloads.
  • Architect, implement, and operate efficient, reliable, and scalable global data center network architectures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing timely and effective solutions in high-impact environments.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of business and operational processes to identify optimization and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with automation and platform development teams to drive the adoption of AI and automation in network operations.
  • Continuously optimize network performance, reliability, and security to meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, and actively share knowledge and best practices within the network engineering team.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale data center network design, implementation, and operations; experience supporting long-term, multi-national or global projects is strongly preferred.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in modern data center networking technologies, including BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, InfiniBand, RoCE, MPLS, and Segment Routing.
  • Solid experience with network platforms from leading vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Nvidia, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and F5 (routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly decompose complex issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Holds one or more advanced industry certifications (e.g., CCIE or equivalent).
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure, multi-project environments. Strong understanding of business process analysis methodologies, with the ability to identify and drive continuous improvement.
  • Open to learning and adopting new technologies, with a strong interest in applying AI to daily engineering and operational workflows.
