Department Summary:
Boston Children's Lexington offers world-class pediatric care west of Boston, close to home, including: dozens of pediatric specialties and services and the same pediatric specialists who practice at Boston Children's main campus in Boston.

Key responsibilities:
  • Working with interdisciplinary team including other clinical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, child life specialist and administrative staff, etc.
  • Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
  • Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
  • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks as needed.
  • Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
  • Restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
  • M-F, 8-4:30, but with flexibility to work anytime between 7a-5:30, and ability to rotate to Peabody location.

Minimum qualifications:

Education:
  • Preferred 1-year direct patient care experience.
  • Would consider pre-PA or pre -med candidates with no direct patient care experience.
Experience:
  • A HS Diploma or equivalent.
Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
