UC Only Department Summary The Office of Civil Rights is dedicated to promoting a campus environment where all students, staff, faculty, and administrators can learn, work, and thrive free from discrimination, harassment in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and related state law and university policy. The Civil Rights Office responds to reports of harassment, discrimination, and related retaliation based on protected status including race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation and gender identify). The office provides supportive measures, explains reporting options, and oversees and ensures a fair and equitable process for all parties involved in a complaint. In addition to responding to concerns, the Civil Rights Office plays a key role in prevention and education. We offer training, workshops, and resources to build awareness, reduce risks, and strengthen UCLA's culture of respect, safety, and accountability. Position Summary The Civil Rights Office at UCLA seeks a compassionate and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking support. This role plays a critical part in ensuring community members feel heard, respected, and supported while helping guide them through the reporting and resolution process. The Intake Specialist will gather and document reports, provide information about university policies and resources, and coordinate with staff to ensure timely and equitable response to concerns involving discrimination, harassment, and related matters. This position is ideal for a professional who values fairness, confidentiality, and service to a diverse campus community. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
