Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $70-75 Hourly Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 Position Overview The Sr. SCM Engine & Asset Manager serves as the subject matter expert and strategist for sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor management for aircraft engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and other high-value, complex assets across multiple airline brands. As an individual contributor, this role designs and implements innovative solutions to build long-term competitive advantage in engine and APU maintenance services. Key Duties *Identify opportunities and pioneer solutions to build long-term competitive advantage in engine and APU maintenance services. *Research and implement new and innovative ideas around the engine and APU maintenance and lease market to maximize leverage. *Define long-term strategy and processes for maintenance support for aircraft engines, APUs, nacelles, and other complex assets. *Influence senior leaders across the organization and provide strategic recommendations on engine and APU maintenance support. *Develop and maintain an effective communication process to keep the senior management team informed of progress, developments, and upcoming events related to engine discussions. *Guide and partner with representatives from Fleet, Network Planning, Maintenance, FP&A, Legal, and Accounting on matters concerning engine and complex asset acquisition and maintenance. *Maintain expert-level knowledge of aircraft engine, nacelle, and APU purchase and service agreements. *Influence maintenance leaders to ensure work performed (and timing of such work) is optimized to minimize total cost of ownership over the life of the asset. *Evaluate the current and potential portfolio of engine providers to identify leverage-creating opportunities. *Design industry-leading solutions for the purchase and service of engines and APUs to minimize cost and maximize value. *Represent the organization in negotiations concerning engine and APU purchases and service agreements. *Cultivate and manage overall supplier relationships with engine and APU vendors. Required Qualifications *10 years of aircraft maintenance contract management experience or related field. *Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of degree. *Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). *Advanced Excel skills including data analysis tools, statistical/reference formulas, and pivot tables. *Proven ability to leverage business acumen and analytical capability to serve as a critical business partner. *Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail in reporting, contract awareness, and compliance. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships that drive outcomes in the best interest of the organization and external business partners. *Authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications *5+ years of engine contracting experience. *Experience with financial analysis of complex vendor proposals. *Proven track record of sustaining strong customer/supplier relationships. *Experience successfully negotiating complex contracts. *Bias toward action with a demonstrated ability to drive improvements and get things done. *Exceptional integrity with impeccable ethics in safety and compliance.
