JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State Lehigh Valley Library seeks a part-time Library Services Assistant to provide first point of contact support at our service desk, contribute to the daily operations of the library, and have oversight of the library facility during closing shifts. This is an on-site part-time position with hours based on operational and semester needs. Candidates must be comfortable with a variable schedule and changing hour commitments across semesters. Through May 8, shifts will primarily occur Monday-Thursday in the afternoon and evening, typically 2-4 days per week. Applicants must be available for shifts from 3:30-7:00p.m. on selected days with the possibility of additional hours between 1:00-3:30p.m. Summer hours may be reduced or paused depending on business needs. Fall 2026 semester hours may resume for afternoon/evening coverage, ranging from one to multiple days per week. Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $15/hour.
