We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented *Payroll Specialist* to support bi-weekly and ad-hoc payroll processing across North America, with the potential to expand support globally. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about delivering accurate payroll services while providing exceptional employee support.
*Payroll Processing & Compliance* * Process bi-weekly and ad-hoc payroll with accuracy and timeliness using HRIS and payroll platforms such as Workday and UKG Pro. * Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and all local, regional, and global statutory requirements. * Support payroll transactions including equity reporting, statutory payments, and periodic payroll filings. * Handle reconciliation tasks related to rejected or refunded transactions, uncashed checks, direct deposit issues, stop payments, and similar scenarios. * Maintain complete and accurate payroll documentation for all process steps. * Assist with internal and external audits, including SOX-related documentation. *Employee Support & Issue Resolution* * Deliver outstanding customer service by responding to payroll inquiries via ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) within established SLAs. * Create and update knowledge base articles to enhance self-service resources for employees and internal partners. *Process Improvement & Reporting* * Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, drive automation, and enhance efficiency. * Support payroll-related projects, technology updates, and system implementations. * Assist with developing and reviewing reporting metrics to drive team performance. * Partner with leadership to address issues, policy updates, and payroll matters across regions. *Teamwork & Professional Development* * Maintain clear communication with leadership, team members, and stakeholders regarding tasks and project status. * Escalate issues promptly to ensure timely resolution and quality service delivery. * Participate actively in team initiatives, training, and continuous learning opportunities. * Provide backup payroll processing support for global regions, ensuring continuity when needed. * Create and maintain a personal development plan with guidance from leadership. *Qualifications* * Entry-level experience; previous exposure to payroll or HR operations is a plus but not required. * Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to accuracy. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. * Proficiency with payroll or HRIS systems (Workday, UKG Pro) is an advantage. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $44.01 - $44.01/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
