Permit Coordinator - OSP Construction Tyler, TX \| Full-Time (In-Office/Hybrid) About the Role We're looking for a Permit Coordinator who knows how to get broadband construction projects moving. You'll be pulling permits for large-scale OSP builds across the greater Tyler area - fiber, coax, whatever the job requires. This isn't a desk job where you just fill out forms. You'll be working directly with city offices, county boards, TxDOT, and utility companies to keep our projects on track. If you've worked in telecom or broadband construction and know what it takes to navigate the permit process, we want to talk to you. What You'll Be Doing * Pulling and managing OSP construction permits for FTTTH, coax, and fiber builds * Coordinating with municipalities, utility companies, and agencies like TxDOT throughout the Tyler region * Communicating with city clerks, planning departments, and utility reps to move permits through approval * Tracking permit status and keeping internal teams updated on timelines * Managing permit documentation and ensuring compliance with local requirements * Problem-solving when permits hit roadblocks or need revisions What You Need * Experience pulling OSP construction permits - you've done this before * Telecom or broadband background (utilities experience works if it's telecom-focused) * Knowledge of FTTH, coax, or fiber construction work * Comfortable with basic computer work and tracking systems * Ability to communicate clearly with everyone from town boards to construction crews * Self-starter who can manage multiple permits and deadlines at once Who Does Well Here You're someone who can work the phones and work the paperwork. You know how to build relationships with the people who approve permits, but you're also organized enough to keep everything tracked and moving. You don't need someone looking over your shoulder - you know what needs to happen and you make it happen. Location This position is based in Tyler, TX and supports an internet service provider expanding throughout the market. In-office or hybrid arrangement available. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tyler, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
