Description
Ascend Rehabilitation, LLC is an integrated health and wellness program for seniors seeking to maintain independence or recover from life-changing events. Highly trained physical, occupational and speech therapists collaborate with fitness professionals to facilitate individualized programs for optimal health outcomes. Ascend Rehab offers a continuum of care and services available in three Saint Therese Minnesota communities: Brooklyn Park, Woodbury, and Corcoran, as well as other senior complex buildings. Responsibilities: Facilitate exercise and wellness program services to seniors 55-90+ years young that focus on promotion of health; enhancing relaxation, balance, flexibility, endurance, strength and cognitive stimulation for clients (residents, tenants, and the greater community). The Fitness Specialist administer wellness protocols in 1:1 personal sessions, lead land and/or water based classes, and monitor open gym/swim clients. This position is also responsible for providing quality client care that may include: assisting therapists with rehab services, transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning and validating client concerns. Job Opening: Fitness Specialist Education and Experience: A two-year Associates of Arts Degree as Assistants in either PT/OT; or a degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Health Science, or Exercise Physiology and certified by the respective associations as required. CPR certification is desired.
