The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $125,961.00 to $215,933.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Silver Spring, MD office four days per week.



Responsibilities

The Director of Total Rewards serves as strategic partner to leadership and the Board of Directors, designing and executing a data-driven Total Rewards strategy that reinforces the Bank's mission and drives a high-performance culture. This role directs the research, development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefit plans, including production-based incentive plans, executive compensation, self-insurance health benefits, and other employee benefit programs. In a consultative manner, this individual guides management regarding the application of sound compensation practices. Managing compliance of legal and regulatory requirements associated with compensation, payroll, and benefits programs in integral to success for this position.



Qualifications

Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field
  • 10 years related experience in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, HRIS and Payroll
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • 5 years experience in a publicly traded Company with executive compensation and equity programs
  • 5 years Regulatory Compliance experience
  • Advanced understanding of laws and regulations governing compensation, benefits and payroll practices.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processing, taxation, welfare benefits, and defined contribution benefits.
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits/401(k) design, funding, administration, financing, reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize market survey data to develop cost-effective, innovative and market competitive compensation solutions.
  • Strong HRIS Product knowledge required, ADP preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities including the proven ability to effectively prepare present and communicate analytical results and reports in a business context to facilitate decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to manipulate large sets of data.
  • Strong compensation strategy and tactics knowledge.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Payroll Systems and related sub-systems.
  • Understanding of self-funded plans strongly desired.
  • Strong business math skills.

Preferences:

  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in a similar field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years Experience working in banking and/or financial institution
