Valiant Integrated Services has a full-time, exempt position as an Intel Model and Simulations Operations Controller supporting the Collective Joint Training (CJT) contract for the Joint Staff J7 Deputy Directorate Joint Training and Exercises (JS J7 DD JTE) in Suffolk, VA. The CJT contract provides analytical, operational, technical, and administrative support for the execution of all phases of the Joint Training System (JTS) for large joint and combined military exercises. This position supports the Joint Technical Simulations Division for the operation of models and simulations (M&S). The ideal candidate brings Electronic Warfare (EW) and intelligence operations experience combined with technical proficiency in M&S tools, intelligence systems, and DoD messaging processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate intelligence representation, model execution, and operational realism during joint and combined events using National War-Gaming System (NWARS), AIROIS, Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF), Joint Theater Level Simulation (JTLS), JCATS Low Overhead Driver (JLOD) and Low Overhead Training System (LOTS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Integrate intelligence processes, workflows, and capabilities into Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools.
  • Serve as a Model Manager, executing, monitoring, and troubleshooting model performance during experiments, tests, and training exercises.
  • Maintain, configure, and modify model event processes and mission-support software.
  • Validate the integration and accuracy of intelligence data within M&S tools in coordination with data science and technical teams.
  • Maintain proficiency in Defense Message System (DMS) operations and model reporting functions.
  • Support intelligence-driven planning and execution during joint and combined exercises.
  • Other Duties as required.

SECURITY REQUIRMENT: Active Secret, TS/SCI Preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:


  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline or 4 years of relevant experience OR
  • Associates degree Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical discipline OR 10 years relevant experience OR
  • 12 years relevant experience.


REQUIRED QUALFICIATIONS:



  • Eligible for a U.S. passport.
  • Must be able to travel unassisted to CONUS and oversees locations to perform job duties.
  • Experience in using simulations to support training desired.
  • Skilled in all aspects of communications for briefings, presentations and classroom instructions.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office presentation, word processing, spreadsheet and collaboration applications.
  • Ability to organize and complete assignments according to established standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting COCOM and Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRX) events within the Intelligence Community at both national and tactical levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of DIA and DISA processes.
  • Willingness to work temporary 12-hour shifts and weekends during joint exercises.
  • Experience with modern intelligence and analytical tools such as:

    • Maven Smart Systems
    • MARS
    • FADE/MIST




DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Recent experience supporting theater-level operations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level battle models and simulators, including:
  • Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC)
  • Joint Theater Level Simulation (JTLS)
  • Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS)
  • National War-Gaming System (NWARS)
  • Graduate of an intermediate Service School desired


Additional Working Conditions:



  • Position: On-site, Office environment
  • Work Week: Monday-Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)
  • Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)
  • Overtime: Exempt, but surge efforts as required
  • Travel: As required, up to 30%


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
