GLAUKOS - FIELD REIMBURSEMENT LIAISON

The Field Reimbursement Liaison plays a critical role in helping patients access sight-saving therapies by partnering directly with ophthalmology practices to navigate complex reimbursement landscapes. Serving as a trusted subject matter expert, this role supports providers and office staff in understanding payer policies, resolving reimbursement challenges, and ensuring timely patient access to treatment. The Reimbursement Liaison works across private practices and hospital-based settings to identify barriers to care and provide practical, compliant solutions that improve patient outcome and ensure patients have access to Glaukos' sight saving technologies.

In this role, you will educate healthcare providers and staff on benefit verification, prior authorizations, and patient cost responsibilities, while supporting the resolution of denials, appeals, and reimbursement issues. You will apply deep expertise in payer policy, coding, and coverage criteria across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, and collaborate cross-functionally to address systemic access challenges. Success in this position requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to influence without authority, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or surgical products, along with reimbursement or market access experience, preferably in a field-based capacity. A strong understanding of Buy & Bill, specialty pharmacy, CPT/HCPCS coding, prior authorizations, and appeals is essential. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving patient access to innovative therapies while working in a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred; candidates with equivalent professional experience will be considered. Advanced training or certifications in healthcare reimbursement, coding, or health policy strongly preferred.
