POSITION SUMMARY

Door Attendants monitor entrances and event boundaries, check identification, and assist with crowd management in accordance with company liquor license requirements and event permitting. This role helps maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for guests while supporting bar and service staff.

This occasional position offers a flexible schedule with advanced notice. Event dates and shifts are typically scheduled 30-90 days in advance. This position is compensated at $20.00/hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Check guest identification (ID) and issue event wristbands in accordance with company alcohol service policies and liquor license requirements.
  • Maintain controlled access at entrances, exits, and elevator access points during events.
  • Support crowd control and perimeter monitoring to ensure event boundaries and restaurant areas remain secure.
  • Monitor guests for compliance with venue rules and alcohol service regulations.
  • Calmly and professionally address disruptive behavior, including removing problem guests when necessary.
  • Communicate with event staff, management, and bar/server teams regarding potential issues or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a professional presence and vigilant observation throughout the event.
  • Conduct visual checks of guests and surroundings to help ensure a safe environment.
  • Assist bar and service staff by managing guest flow and addressing unruly behavior.
  • Door Attendants are responsible for independently preparing and closing their assigned station (setting up folding tables, chairs, signage, retrieving necessary materials, breakdown)
  • For certain larger events, process light cash handling or credit card transactions for door entry fees using a mobile POS tablet.
  • Additional duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and walk with at least 40 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow directions


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Live music and concert environments with high noise levels.
  • Outdoor events, potentially in varying weather conditions.
