Acara Solutions is seeking a PCB Layout Designer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
- Onsite, Monday-Friday (first shift)
- $58/hour pay rate
- 9/80 work schedule
Responsibilities
- Design and develop digital hardware schematics and PCB layouts for advanced electronic systems
- Work with ARM processors, microcontrollers, and high-speed memory interfaces
- Integrate DDR3, DDR4, and LPDDR4 memory into hardware designs
- Implement and validate digital interfaces (I2C, SPI, SDIO)
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging using lab equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, mechanical) to deliver system-level solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital hardware design
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout for digital subsystems (including SDRs)
- Experience with high-speed design and memory integration (DDR3/DDR4/LPDDR4)
- Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers)
- Experience using Siemens Xpedition or similar PCB design tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Understanding of full hardware development lifecycle (design, validation, manufacturing, test)
- Experience with signal integrity and power integrity analysis
- Experience designing PCBs with advanced materials and high-speed interfaces
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
