Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Manager oversees all manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and costeffective production. This role is accountable for meeting quality, schedule, and cost objectives aligned with company strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development of long and shortterm operational plans, policies, and objectives
  • Delegate responsibilities to assistant managers and provide leadership across scheduling, production, maintenance, staffing, and training
  • Monitor operations through staff meetings, direct observation, and regular communication to ensure optimal use of personnel, equipment, and facilities
  • Manage manufacturing budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontracting costs
  • Drive a Six Sigma and lean manufacturing culture: lead kaizen and 5S initiatives
  • Maintain on-time delivery performance of 95%+ and communicate customer requirements clearly across teams
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues; implement corrective actions
  • Serve as liaison between management and supervisors to ensure consistent communication of policies and decisions
  • Participate in labor relations as a management representative
  • Enforce safety policies and promote a zeroincident culture
  • Oversee training, safety, housekeeping, and costreduction programs
  • Maintain proper staffing levels; recruit and select supervisory and hourly personnel
  • Support company quality processes
  • Effectively communicate all actions and performance to upper management through verbal and written communication, PowerPoint presentations, and logs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of plant management experience with strong supervisory capabilities
  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, problemsolving, and timemanagement skills
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations and knowledge of industry practices

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in typical manufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Overhead LED lights throughout the workspace create a bright workspace for employees to safely perform their work.
  • Normally clean work environment where the process creates some grinding dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors, and vibration.
  • Housekeeping is performed as needed throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
  • Noise levels are consistent with manufacturing operations; annual audiometric testing is provided.
  • The facility is heated in the winter and ventilated with fans in the summer.
