What you will do: This position will be part of Electrical Engineering team which is Aerzen's primary engineering resource for industrial Control Panels, VFDs, Electronics, Power Systems, and Turbo Products. This position is responsible for applying acquired technical knowledge and engineering skills to the execution of electrical engineering/design over entire Aerzen product lines. Primary objectives include assisting the Engineering team in the support of the production, quality, and sales & service teams in areas pertinent to Aerzen's shipment, quality control, and customer service goals. While performing this role, individuals will understand and address all aspects of project related technical specifications, internal equipment datasheets, stakeholder concerns as well as equipment, application and project risks to provide the best possible "Customer Value + Aerzen Solution" that is safe, efficient, reliable, and profitable for the client as well as for Aerzen. This role will additionally involve elements of knowledge creation, training, mentoring, and the application of engineering best practices towards the design of strategic products and services relevant to the Engineering team's people, product, and business development objectives. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC Accredited Program Field of study: Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of Relevant Professional Required Experience in the field shall reflect that of a competent professional. Candidates should be capable of demonstrating competency by citing specific occasions where engineering and product support services in the relevant field were rendered for projects of moderate complexity. Other: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Hybrid work scheduling eligible. Expertise: Preferred expertise in the following fields: -Electrical and control system hardware design for machinery applications -Electric codes and hazardous area design restrictions -Control circuit design and implementation -UL 508A industrial control panel -AC motor drive with VFD and soft starter -Power quality analysis and harmonic mitigation -PLC and HMI/OIT configuration and programming (Allen-Bradley) -Industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP) -2D drawings including wiring diagrams and GA drawings -Design for manufacturability (DFM) -New product introduction (NPI) -Engineering product management and standardization -Engineering project management -Lean manufacturing Computer Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and VFD & PLC commissioning software as well as MS Office programs required. Proficiency in Eplan, ladder logic and programming language preferred.
