Compensation Range: $30.66 to $36.07/hourly, based on experience. Central Territory Headquarters LI Job Objective: To coordinate and enhance special events at the College for Officers Training through effective leadership, logistics and planning, collaboration between internal and external partners, and pursuing exceptional hospitality. The position would create a welcoming environment that exceeds guests' expectations and supports the organization's mission and goals. Essential Functions: Overall, this position will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to organize conferences and other events that will take place at the College for Officer Training. Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in business management, Hospitality Management, Event Management or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. Obtain/maintain kitchen sanitation license as required by state/city. Experience Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in hospitality, event coordination, or organizational management, preferably involving large group functions, events, or conference settings. OR a combination of education and experience that Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibility: Indirect. They will oversee custodial staff for set up, tear down, and during events on campus. Additionally, this position will oversee outside vendors on campus. Travel: Limited Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the duties of this job. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to twenty five pounds; Must be able to maneuver in event spaces for long periods of time. Working Conditions: 70% in a typical office environment for administration; 30% in direct event management. | |
