Position Title: Japanese Bilingual Real Estate Management Coordinator Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite) Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Work Schedules: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (No Overtime) Summary This is an ideal "Step 1" opportunity for a professional looking to launch a career in the real estate industry and/or at a Japanese company. Operating as a key subsidiary of a Japanese global real estate firm, they manage a diverse portfolio of properties across Southern California. They are seeking a meticulous, sincere, and proactive individual who is comfortable working in a bilingual Japanese/English environment and is eager to learn the foundations of property management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Rent & Financial Coordination: Ensure timely rent collection from all tenants
by following up when needed; coordinate closely with the accounting department to ensure all payments are accurately posted. - Tenant & Vendor Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for tenant
requests or complaints such as repairs; arrange and oversee maintenance with local vendors (in English). - Owner Reporting: Create comprehensive monthly revenue and status
reports for property owners in Japan. These reports must be written in high-level, polite business Japanese (Keigo) with supports of the team. - Field Visits: Conduct on-site property inspections throughout Greater Los
Angeles and Orange County (average 1-2 visits per week). - Internal Communication: Participate in daily operations where Japanese
is the primary language of internal communication.
Qualifications The successful candidate will be someone who values "person-to-person" work and possesses a high level of sensitivity to small details. They must balance a sense of urgency with a sincere, polite demeanor when resolving issues for both tenants and owners. Required
- Authorization: Must have valid work authorization and a commitment to long-term
career growth. - Language Proficiency:
- English: High-level proficiency for communication with
tenants and vendors. - Japanese: Advanced fluency required for internal
collaboration and written reporting to owners in Japan. (N2-N3 levels)
- Mindset:
A strong interest in the real estate industry and a desire to work within a Japanese corporate culture. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office for report
generation and basic accounting coordination. - Mobility:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for property visits when needed.
Preferred
- Experience in customer service or administrative
roles where attention to detail was paramount. - A background or education in business, real
estate, or Japanese studies.
The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
