Time Management Representative/Specialist

The Time Management Representative/Specialist is a member of the Payroll Operations team and works to ensure the timely processing of payroll for large populations of salaried exempt/non-exempt and hourly employees primarily utilizing Workforce Solutions and Employee Central Payroll. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, works to produce high quality error-free work, is flexible and quickly adapts to changing priorities, uses independent judgment and decision-making skills, multi tasks, and demonstrates interpersonal skills in a professional demeanor. This position also requires the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and routinely.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  • Sustain a Center of Excellence (COE) focused on US Dollar Timekeeping and general standardization of work schedules, wage codes, pay practices and shift relief policies.
  • Ensure reliable administration and documentation of site pay policies, including salaried non-exempt and exempt time entry procedures. Analyze and recommend opportunities for standardization, including advice on content for recommended policies as needed.
  • Conduct various time entry audits per payroll deadlines to evaluate compliance with payroll policies, procedures, site pay practices and applicable laws. Provide mitigations/recommendations when necessary.
  • Primary point of contact for receipt and resolution of employee and supervisor questions related to time entry and pay policies. Evaluates and interprets applicable policies/practices and provides detailed counsel on time coding and pay situations, both as warranted by policies and practices, or as the Representative/Specialist determines appropriate in the absence of policies and practices.
  • Enter changes that differ from schedule, such as off-site training attendance rosters and prior period adjustments on timesheets. This includes research and validation of the basis for prior period adjustments and the implementation of the adjustments.
  • Serve as primary liaison between site HR, Corporate HR Payroll and HRMS departments to receive and resolve time related questions/issues by providing subject matter expertise, consultation, and advice.
  • Facilitate annual time-related audits and system release end user testing.
  • Evaluate and approve or decline requests to create new work schedules.
  • Contribute to and / or lead Timekeeping related technology projects as needed.



Ideal Qualifications:



  • 3 + more years of experience in payroll/timekeeping for large employee population.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • SAP SucessFactors Employee Central, and Workforce Software (similar to UKG/Kronos) experience
  • Ability to create reports in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data with the ability to problem solve/troubleshoot.
  • Ability to independently establish priorities daily in support of broader departmental goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated strong collaborative communication and interpersonal skills working effectively with others in a team environment in support of customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with limited direction.
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills balancing multiple priorities/ projects at the same time without compromising the quality/accuracy of the work product while meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential data.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and high-quality work products. Seeks customer input to continually improve products and services. Demonstrates ability to seek out opportunities to assume new job responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail, manages large volumes of data. Is accurate, conscientious and self-motivated. Exhibits flexibility to changing environment and can work concurrently on multiple requests and projects. Uses independent judgment and can proceed on own initiative.
  • Ability to clearly communicate both orally and written. Must be clear, concise and tactful in verbal interactions, establishing and maintaining positive rapport. Must be able to maintain a friendly demeanor while dealing with multiple requests. Displays professionalism.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively as a member of a team. Contributes and demonstrates commitment to the team. Understands and uses quality improvement concepts and methods. Seeks opportunities to assist others.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Workforce Solutions experience.
  • Employee Central Payroll experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
  • Payroll certification.
  • Experience/knowledge of SOX, FLSA, wage & hour laws, & SAP payroll processing.
