The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a visionary and experienced Senior Manager to lead the Advanced Test Reactor and Nuclear Safety Engineering department. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing a team of highly skilled engineers and analysts who play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of ATR's nuclear facilities. The Senior Manager will guide efforts in hazard identification, risk assessment, safety basis development, and engineering solutions that enable groundbreaking research and development in nuclear technologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation across the department. As the Senior Manager, you will manage and integrate programs that focus on nuclear facility safety analysis, reactor core modeling, and experiment impact to the reactor core. Your team will be at the forefront of maintaining the technical baseline of the ATR safety basis, ensuring compliance with DOE regulations, and developing strategies to understand and quantify radiological hazards. This role demands both technical expertise and leadership acumen to coordinate complex engineering processes, execute technical and safety strategies, and deliver technically defensible products to internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Energy (DOE).
