The CPG Clinical Nurse Manager supports the clinical operations by implementing standardized workflows, systems and processes that improve and enhance patient care, clinical best practices, regulatory requirements/compliance and support provider access and efficiency across the Health System. This role ensures the clinical support team meets or exceeds performance standards related to patient care, orientation and training, coordination of clinical services that support providers and care teams. The Clinical Nurse Manager also oversees CPG network-level clinical team members to include clinical float and educational teams. Serves as a contributing member of the Sr. Leadership Team, providing clinical expertise, best practices and strategic insight to drive integration between clinical operations and access management, ensuring coordinated patient-centered care delivery across the continuum. This position reports to the Ambulatory Director of Operations.
* Collaborates with clinic leadership to facilitate advising and mentoring for the clinical support teams to ensure high-quality, safe and efficient patient care delivery across clinics and/or service lines. * Collaborates with clinic leadership in monitoring the performance of clinical staff and care teams, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational performance expectations. * Collaborates with providers, clinic managers, and operational leaders to optimize clinical workflows that support patient care coordination, timely access to care and provider efficiency. * Oversees processes related to patient care preparation, clinical documentation, referrals, diagnostic testing coordination and follow-up care to ensure continuity and quality of care. * Leads and collaborates with clinic leadership to develop, implement and oversee all processes related to vaccine ordering, handling, storage, administration, and returns. * Develops and maintains CPG clinical onboarding and training tools, participates in onboarding and training of clinical staff, to include regular participation in the Health System Clinical Orientation. * Collaborates with clinic leadership to provide staff development support, ongoing education, competency validation and adherence to evidence-based clinical practices. * Serves as a liaison between clinical staff, providers, operational leadership, and health system departments to support effective communication and alignment of clinical initiatives. * Supports the implementation and optimization of clinical workflows within the electronic health record (Epic), collaborating with informatics and operational teams to improve documentation, care coordination and clinical efficiency. * Works collaboratively with Revenue Cycle and operational leadership to ensure clinical documentation and workflows support accurate coding, billing and regulatory compliance. * Creates and maintains CPG ambulatory clinical protocols and patient instructions in collaboration with CPG Medical Directors to support standardized, evidence-based patient care and ensure clinical team members practice within their scope and at the top of their license. * Identifies patient care delivery barriers and partners with interdisciplinary teams to implement streamlined solutions that improve clinical, operational, and fiscal performance * Participates in quality improvement initiatives, performance monitoring and reporting related to patient safety, patient experience and clinical outcomes. * Travels as needed to CPG locations and withing the UVA Health system to support clinic operations, attend meetings and provide leadership support across the network. * Represents CPG in UVA Health system meetings and initiatives related to clinical operations, care coordination and quality improvement. * Maintains awareness of clinical policies, procedures and system-wide updates and ensure dissemination and compliance within the clinical teams. * Manages and provides leadership oversight of daily operations and personnel management for network-level Clinical Float and Educational team. * Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development. * In addition to the above responsibilities, other duties may be assigned to support clinical operations and organizational priorities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Experience: 3 years relevant experience required. Management experience in an Ambulatory Environment preferred. Licensure: None required.
